Residents across Mindanao are advised to prepare for cloudy weather with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms as easterly winds continue to affect the region, according to the latest regional forecast issued by Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In its advisory released at 5:00 a.m. on February 14, 2026, PAGASA said the weather outlook remains valid until 5:00 a.m. on February 15. The agency warned that moderate to, at times, heavy rains may trigger flash floods and landslides, particularly in low-lying and mountainous areas.
General Weather Conditions
PAGASA reported that most parts of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with intermittent rainshowers and thunderstorms throughout the day and night. These conditions are brought about by easterlies, or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean.
Winds are expected to be light to moderate, coming from the east to northeast. Coastal areas will experience slight to moderate sea conditions, with wave heights ranging from 0.6 to 2.1 meters, which may affect small fishing vessels and inter-island travel.
Weather Outlook by Major Areas
In Zamboanga City and nearby provinces in the Zamboanga Peninsula, including Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, and Zamboanga Sibugay, daytime weather will be partly cloudy with possible thunderstorms, turning cloudier in the evening. Temperatures will range from 22°C to 35°C.
Provinces in Northern Mindanao, such as Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental, will also experience similar conditions, with temperatures ranging from 19°C to 32°C.
In the Davao Region, including Metro Davao, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Davao Occidental, residents can expect scattered rains and thunderstorms, especially in the late afternoon and evening. Temperatures may reach up to 34°C in some areas.
Areas under SOCCSKSARGEN, including North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, and Sarangani, will experience cloudy skies with rainshowers, with temperatures ranging from 19°C to 34°C.
Meanwhile, provinces in the Caraga region—Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Dinagat Islands—are also expected to receive intermittent rainfall and thunderstorms, particularly in coastal and upland areas.
In the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), including Cotabato City, Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Maguindanao del Norte, and Maguindanao del Sur, weather conditions will remain unstable, with cloudy skies and frequent rainshowers. Temperatures may rise up to 35°C in some areas.
Safety Advisory
PAGASA urged local government units, disaster response agencies, and the public to remain vigilant, especially in areas prone to flooding and landslides. Motorists are advised to take extra caution on slippery roads, while farmers and fisherfolk are encouraged to monitor weather updates before heading out.
Small sea vessels are also advised to exercise caution due to moderate sea conditions, particularly along eastern and northern coastlines.
For updates and further information, the public may contact PAGASA through its official communication channels or visit its website.
Authorities continue to remind residents to stay informed and prepared as unstable weather conditions persist across Mindanao.
