Residents across Mindanao are advised to brace for generally cloudy conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms, as easterly winds continue to influence the region, according to the latest advisory from Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In its Regional Weather Forecast for the Mindanao – MINPRSD, issued at 5:00 a.m. on February 15, 2026, PAGASA said the weather outlook is valid until 5:00 a.m. tomorrow.
Eastern and Southern Mindanao Most Affected
PAGASA reported that Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental, Sarangani, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to prevailing easterlies.
Moderate to occasionally heavy rainfall is expected in these areas, raising the risk of flash floods and landslides, particularly in low-lying and mountainous communities.
Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. However, severe thunderstorms may still trigger localized flooding and landslides.
Winds and Sea Conditions
Across Mindanao, winds will remain light to moderate, coming from the east to northeast. Coastal waters are expected to be slight to moderate, with wave heights ranging from 0.6 to 2.1 meters.
Fisherfolk and small vessel operators are advised to exercise caution, especially during periods of thunderstorms and rough seas.
