CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City – A high-value individual (HVI) was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by Valencia City Police Station in collaboration with the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 10 (RPDEU 10) and the Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) on March 1, 2025, at Purok 1, Barangay Lumbo, Valencia City, Bukidnon.
Authorities identified the suspect as alias “Jason,” a 25-year-old, single, unemployed resident of Barangay San Miguel, Maramag, Bukidnon. He was a first-time offender, and reports indicate that his drug supply originated from Wao, Bukidnon.
Seized during the operation were 53 rectangular heat-sealed sachets containing suspected shabu, with a total weight of 300.2 grams. The confiscated illegal drugs had an estimated standard drug price of PhP2,041,360.00. Additionally, police recovered a cellphone and a PhP1,000 bill used as buy-bust money.
The suspect is now in the custody of the Valencia City Police Station of the Bukidnon Police Provincial Office for proper disposition. Charges for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against him.
Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) Regional Director PBGEN Jaysen C. De Guzman lauded the operatives for their continued efforts in combating illegal drugs in Northern Mindanao.
“We remain steadfast in our commitment to rid our communities of these dangerous substances and hold perpetrators accountable. We will continue to intensify our efforts in combating illegal drugs to ensure a safer and drug-free Northern Mindanao,” he stated.
