BUKIDNON, Philippines — Authorities intensified their anti-illegal drug campaign in Bukidnon, resulting in the arrest of three drug suspects and the confiscation of more than ₱280,000 worth of suspected shabu in separate operations conducted in Talakag and Valencia City on March 25–26, 2026.

In Talakag, a joint buy-bust operation carried out in Sitio Dalongdong, Barangay Dominorog led to the arrest of two individuals—a 26-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman. The operation was spearheaded by personnel of the Talakag Municipal Police Station under Police Captain Romeo M. Arcilla Jr., in coordination with the Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Bukidnon Police Provincial Office, the 100th Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10, and the Bukidnon 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company.
Seized during the operation were approximately 20.1 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱136,680. The suspects were immediately taken into custody and brought to the Talakag Municipal Police Station for proper disposition. Meanwhile, the confiscated drug evidence was forwarded to the Regional Forensic Unit 10 in Camp Evangelista, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City for laboratory examination.
Authorities confirmed that charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against the arrested suspects.
Police officials commended the operating units for the successful operation, emphasizing the continued resolve of law enforcement to dismantle illegal drug networks in the province.
Meanwhile, in a separate operation in Valencia City, a 38-year-old male suspect known only by the alias “Bamboy” was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest in Purok 5, Barangay Sugod at around 1:20 p.m. on March 25.
The suspect, identified as a drug personality and listed as wanted, was arrested by operatives of the Bukidnon Police Drug Enforcement Unit led by Police Major Christian D. Serdeña, in coordination with the 2nd Bukidnon Provincial Mobile Force Company, the City Anti-Drugs Special Unit Team, and the Provincial Intelligence Unit.
During a body search, authorities recovered nine heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu weighing 21.50 grams, with an estimated value of ₱146,200, along with an empty cigarette pack allegedly used as a container for the illegal drugs.
The warrant for the suspect’s arrest, issued on May 14, 2024, cited violations of Republic Act 9165, with no bail recommended by the court.
The suspect is currently under the custody of the Valencia City Police Station pending further legal proceedings.
Combined, the two operations resulted in the seizure of approximately 41.6 grams of suspected shabu valued at over ₱282,000, marking another significant accomplishment in Bukidnon’s intensified campaign against illegal drugs.
Police authorities reiterated their commitment to sustain aggressive anti-drug operations and urged the public to remain vigilant and cooperative in reporting illegal activities in their communities.
