CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City – The Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) successfully conducted a buy-bust operation leading to the arrest of two newly identified drug suspects and the confiscation of illegal drugs in SO Mamaon, Barangay Indulang, Talakag, Bukidnon, on March 4, 2025.
The operation was carried out by personnel from the Talakag Municipal Police Station (MPS), in coordination with the 1004th Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10 (RMFB10) and the Provincial Intelligence Unit.
The arrested individuals were identified as alias “JP,” an 18-year-old male, and alias “Tine,” a 19-year-old female, both unemployed residents of Barangay 5, Talakag, Bukidnon.
Authorities seized 16 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, weighing 65 grams, with an estimated Standard Drug Price of PhP442,000. Also confiscated were a sando bag, a sling bag, a motorcycle, PhP600 in cash, and a PhP1,000 bill used as buy-bust money.
Both suspects are now under the custody of the Talakag MPS for proper disposition. A case for violation of Section 5 and Section 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, is set to be filed against them.
PBGEN Jaysen C. De Guzman, Regional Director of PRO10, commended the operatives for the successful operation.
“PRO10 remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding communities by apprehending individuals involved in the illegal drug trade. We will continue to intensify our efforts in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety and security of our people,” he said.
PRO10 also urges the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious drug-related activities to the authorities.
