Cagayan de Oro City, October 27, 2024 – In a significant crackdown on illegal drug activity, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office X, in collaboration with the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) PS4, executed a successful buy-bust operation on October 26, 2024, resulting in the dismantling of a drug den in Barangay Carmen.
The operation, which took place after weeks of intelligence gathering, led to the arrest of four suspects. Authorities seized approximately 5 grams of suspected shabu, valued at an estimated ₱34,000.00, marking a critical blow to local drug operations.
Arrested Individuals:
- Alias Doydoy, 43 – Drug Den Maintainer, Barangay Carmen
- Alias Ed, 44 – Visitor, Barangay Carmen
- Niko Ramayrat, 23 – Visitor, Barangay Pagatpat
- Alias Egar, 63 – Visitor, Barangay Carmen
All four suspects are now facing charges under Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
