Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City | December 11, 2024 – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 10 (PDEA RO-10) has dealt a significant blow to the illegal drug trade in Cagayan de Oro City with the successful arrest of a suspected drug personality during a buy-bust operation.
The operation, carried out in coordination with the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office, Police Station 3 (COCPO PS3), led to the apprehension of a 45-year-old suspect identified as Alias Fausto, a married resident of Lapasan. Alongside the arrest, authorities confiscated illegal drugs valued at approximately Php47,600, based on the Dangerous Drugs Board’s (DDB) valuation.
Alias Fausto is set to face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The law imposes strict penalties on individuals involved in the production, sale, and distribution of illegal drugs.
This operation underscores PDEA’s unwavering commitment to combating illegal drugs and ensuring public safety.
