Cagayan de Oro City, October 26, 2024 – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office X, through its Regional Special Enforcement Team (RSET), conducted a successful buy-bust operation on October 25, 2024, leading to the dismantling of a drug den in Barangay Bayabas. The operation resulted in the arrest of five suspected drug personalities and the seizure of approximately 6 grams of shabu, with an estimated street value of ₱40,800.
The individuals apprehended during this operation have been identified as follows:
- Alias Gege, 43 – Suspected drug den maintainer
- Alias Juaquin, 59 – Identified as a drug den maintainer
- Alias Enchong, 22 – Alleged employee of the drug den
- Alias Chong2x, 25 – Visitor
- Alias Rhods, 18 – Visitor
All five suspects are now facing charges under Article II of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. They remain in custody as legal proceedings move forward.
