Cagayan de Oro City, October 17, 2024 – In a coordinated buy-bust operation, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office X, alongside the Cogon Police Station (COCPO PS2) and the Regional Intelligence Unit 10 of the Philippine National Police (PNP), successfully dismantled a drug den in Barangay Camaman-an.
The operation, which took place on October 17, resulted in the seizure of approximately 6 grams of shabu, with an estimated street value of Php40,800.00. The timely and strategic collaboration between the agencies underscores their commitment to combating illegal drug activities in the region.
Three individuals were arrested during the operation:
- Alias Jin, 28, female, resident of Barangay Camaman-an
- Alias Jon, 27, male, resident of Barangay Camaman-an
- Alias Yor, 38, male, resident of Barangay Camaman-an
The arrested suspects are set to face charges under Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
