DAVAO CITY — Police arrested a suspected high-value individual in a joint anti-illegal drugs operation that led to the seizure of approximately 21.48 grams of suspected shabu worth an estimated ₱146,064 in Davao City early Tuesday morning, September 1, 2026.
The operation was conducted at around 12:13 a.m. along Km. 6, Pag-Asa Drive, Amolo Street, Balosong Extension, Barangay Matina, by operatives of Police Station 17 (Baliok) led by Police Major Jemuel J. Mamolang, with personnel from the 2nd City Mobile Force Company (2nd CMFC) and in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office XI (PDEA XI).
Authorities said the operation was carried out as a joint buy-bust operation targeting the suspected high-value drug personality. The arrest followed the police operation in the area, resulting in the recovery of the suspected illegal drugs.
The confiscated substance, weighing approximately 21.48 grams, was identified by authorities as suspected shabu and was given an estimated street value of ₱146,064. The seized evidence was placed under police custody for proper documentation and disposition in accordance with standard procedures.
The arrest highlights the continuing efforts of law enforcement agencies in Davao City to dismantle the distribution of illegal drugs, particularly operations targeting individuals considered significant players in the local drug trade.
Davao City Police Office (DCPO) City Director Police Colonel Peter Bauzon Madria commended the operating units for the successful operation and underscored the importance of coordinated and intelligence-driven law enforcement efforts in addressing illegal drug activities.
