MINDANAO — Large swaths of Mindanao will experience cloudy skies, scattered rains, and thunderstorms throughout Monday, November 24, as the Trough of a Low Pressure Area (LPA) and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) continue to influence weather conditions across the region, according to the 5:00 AM bulletin of PAGASA–Mindanao PRSD.

PAGASA warns that Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and the Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms, driven by the Trough of LPA. These areas face heightened risks of flash floods and landslides, particularly during episodes of moderate to heavy rainfall.

Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ. Similar hazards may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Across the region, winds will be light to moderate, coming from the northeast to north, with slight to moderate seas ranging from 0.6 to 2.1 meters.
