Mindanao is expected to experience widespread rains and thunderstorms throughout the day due to the combined effects of Tropical Depression “Crising” and the prevailing southwest monsoon, according to the latest regional forecast from PAGASA-Mindanao PRSD.
As of 3:00 AM today, TD Crising was located approximately 530 km east of Juban, Sorsogon, with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h and gustiness of up to 70 km/h. It is moving west-northwest at 15 km/h. The system is bringing scattered rains and thunderstorms to Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte, with potential flash floods and landslides due to moderate to heavy rainfall.
Meanwhile, the Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and the rest of the Caraga region will continue to experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon. The rest of Mindanao will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms.

Zamboanga Peninsula
- Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, and Isabela City: Cloudy with rainshowers and thunderstorms throughout the day and evening. Moderate southwest to west winds with slight to moderate seas. Temperatures range from 23°C to 31°C.
Northern Mindanao
- Bukidnon: Cloudy with thunderstorms, 19°C to 29°C.
- Camiguin, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, and Lanao del Norte: Cloudy skies with thunderstorms. Moderate winds with slight to moderate seas. Coastal temps range from 23°C to 31°C.
Caraga Region
- Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Norte, and Agusan del Sur: Cloudy with scattered thunderstorms due to TD Crising and southwest monsoon. Moderate winds from the southwest to west. Temperatures range from 24°C to 31°C.
Davao Region
- Metro Davao, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao de Oro, Davao Occidental, and Davao Oriental: Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms. Moderate southwest to west winds. Coastal temperatures range from 23°C to 32°C.
SOCCSKSARGEN
- North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, and Sarangani: Expect partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms. Temperatures range from 23°C to 30°C, with moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal seas.
BARMM (Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao)
- Cotabato City, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte, and Maguindanao del Sur: Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms. Coastal temperatures range from 22°C to 31°C, with moderate southwest to west winds and slight to moderate seas.
Sea Conditions
Across all coastal provinces, seas are expected to be slight to moderate with wave heights ranging from 1.2 to 2.5 meters. Mariners are advised to take precautionary measures.
Advisory
Residents in affected areas, especially in Caraga and Zamboanga Peninsula, are advised to remain alert for possible flash floods or landslides. PAGASA continues to monitor the movement of TD Crising and will issue updates as necessary.
