A Low Pressure Area (LPA) was spotted at 3:00 PM today approximately 200 km northeast of Echague, Isabela or 155 km east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan (17.8°N, 123.2°E), according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Despite its presence in Luzon, the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to affect Mindanao, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms across the island. Winds across all regions will remain light to moderate from the southwest, with coastal waters expected to be slight to moderate (wave heights between 0.6 to 1.8 meters).
