Pantukan, Davao de Oro – In its continued crackdown on illegal drugs, the Pantukan Municipal Police Station arrested a suspected drug personality known by the alias “Gwapo” during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Magnaga.

The operation, conducted following validated intelligence and pre-operational clearance from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), resulted in the seizure of two sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu. Authorities also recovered drug paraphernalia, including a cigarette foil and an improvised glass tube tooter, along with a marked P1,000 bill used as buy-bust money.

The suspect is currently detained at the Pantukan Municipal Police Station. Police are preparing to file appropriate charges for violations of Sections 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), and 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia) of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office, under the leadership of Police Colonel Antonio D. Alberio Jr., reaffirmed its commitment to intensify anti-drug operations across the province to build safer and drug-free communities.

Authorities encourage the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to illegal drugs to help maintain peace and order in the area.
