DAVAO DE ORO — In a show of intensified anti-drug operations, the Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office (DDOPPO) has successfully carried out three separate buy-bust operations in the municipalities of Nabunturan, Pantukan, and Compostela, resulting in the arrest of four suspects and the confiscation of illegal drugs.

In Barangay Poblacion, Nabunturan, the local police, in coordination with the 1st Davao de Oro Provincial Mobile Force Company, apprehended two individuals during a buy-bust operation. Authorities seized several sachets of suspected shabu and a self-sealing plastic bag containing suspected marijuana. The confiscated items were submitted for laboratory testing, and charges are being prepared against the suspects for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, in Barangay Kingking, Pantukan, police from the Pantukan Municipal Police Station and the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), operating under a PDEA-issued pre-operation clearance, arrested one male suspect. Recovered from the scene were several sachets of suspected shabu and the marked ₱500 bill used in the transaction. All items are now in police custody for proper documentation and disposal.

In Barangay Lagab, Compostela, a joint operation conducted by the Compostela Municipal Police Station, PDEU, and the 1st Davao de Oro PMFC led to the arrest of another male suspect. Confiscated from him were two sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, along with the buy-bust money. The suspect will also be charged under RA 9165.

The DDOPPO emphasized its unwavering commitment to the anti-drug campaign, urging the public to remain vigilant and actively support efforts in building a safer, drug-free province.
