Davao de Oro — In a series of intensified anti-drug operations, law enforcement authorities apprehended three suspected drug personalities across separate municipalities in Davao de Oro from April 11 to 13, 2025.
On April 11, a buy-bust operation in Barangay Poblacion, Mawab, led to the arrest of a drug suspect. Operatives from the Mawab Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the 1101st Mobile Company RMFB 11, 2nd Davao de Oro Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office XI, seized multiple heat-sealed sachets containing suspected shabu. Authorities also recovered a marked Php 1,000 bill, a coin purse, and plastic packaging materials. The suspect is now facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Two days later, on April 13, law enforcement teams carried out two separate operations resulting in more arrests.
In Barangay Napnapan, Pantukan, at around 7:00 AM, a 35-year-old male suspect, identified as a newly listed drug personality and a local community leader, was arrested following a court-issued search warrant. The joint operation was conducted by the Pantukan Municipal Police Station, the Provincial Intelligence Unit and Drug Enforcement Unit of Davao de Oro, and PDEA XI. Confiscated items included multiple sachets of suspected shabu, assorted drug paraphernalia, a .45 caliber pistol with ammunition, and an Android phone believed to hold relevant case information. All evidence was properly inventoried in the presence of barangay officials, a media representative, and the suspect.
Later that evening, at around 10:18 PM, another drug suspect was caught during a buy-bust operation in Purok 4, Barangay Ngan, Compostela. The operation, jointly conducted by the Compostela Municipal Police Station, the 1st Davao de Oro PMFC, and PDEA XI, led to the seizure of suspected illegal drugs and a marked Php 500 bill used in the transaction. The suspect is likewise facing charges under Republic Act 9165.
The Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office reaffirmed its full commitment to support the government’s ongoing campaign against illegal drugs. Authorities encourage the public to stay vigilant and cooperate by reporting any drug-related activities to help ensure a safer and drug-free community.
