Davao de Oro, Philippines – July 26, 2025 — In a series of decisive anti-illegal drug operations, the Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office (DDOPPO) successfully carried out multiple law enforcement actions across different municipalities, resulting in the arrest of several suspects and the seizure of illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, firearms, and ammunition.

Businessman Nabbed in Pantukan Raid

In Barangay Napnapan, Pantukan, a businessman was arrested during a search warrant operation led by the Pantukan Municipal Police Station, supported by the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), and the 2nd Davao de Oro Provincial Mobile Force Company (SWAT). The operation was conducted under the direct supervision of the Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office.

The warrant, issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 57 in Mabini, Davao de Oro, was served at the suspect’s residence. Authorities confiscated several sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia. The suspect was read their rights in a language they understood and underwent medical and physical examinations. Charges for violating Sections 11 and 12, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being readied.

Buy-Bust Operation Nets Suspect in Compostela

In Barangay Poblacion, Compostela, operatives from the Compostela Municipal Police Station arrested a suspect identified only as alias “Manoy” during a buy-bust operation. The suspect, a resident of Barangay Maparat, sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover officer. Another sachet of the same substance and a marked bill were recovered during the arrest.

The suspect remains in police custody as charges under Republic Act 9165 are being prepared. Authorities reaffirmed their dedication to curbing the illegal drug trade in the municipality.

Firearms, Drugs Seized in Maragusan Search

A boarding house in Purok Mandalihan, Barangay Poblacion, Maragusan was the subject of a search warrant operation executed by the Maragusan Municipal Police Station. The operation yielded suspected illegal drugs, various drug paraphernalia, one firearm, and live ammunition.

The target of the search, known by the alias “Boss Lunga,” may face charges under both the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act and Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

Monkayo Suspect Apprehended for Drug Violation

Meanwhile, in Barangay Poblacion, Monkayo, police enforced a court-issued warrant of arrest against a suspect identified as alias “Ranel” for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The suspect is now under the custody of the Monkayo Municipal Police Station for further legal proceedings.
