Pantukan, Philippines — Police arrested a newly identified drug personality on the evening of January 2, 2025, in Barangay Magnaga for alarming and scandalous behavior and possession of illegal drugs.
The suspect, a 55-year-old fish cage caretaker, was apprehended at Purok 2B after his daughter sought police assistance. According to the daughter, the man had gone wild and allegedly threatened her and her siblings with a firearm.
Responding officers from the Pantukan Municipal Police Station swiftly arrived at the scene, where they detained the suspect without incident. During a standard frisk, authorities discovered approximately 1 gram of suspected shabu (methamphetamine) valued at ₱6,800. An improvised glass tooter and other drug paraphernalia were also found inside the suspect’s sling bag.
Police conducted the inventory and marking of the recovered items on-site, ensuring compliance with legal procedures and in the presence of witnesses.
The suspect is now in police custody and faces charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (Republic Act 9165) and public disturbance laws.
Law enforcement authorities reiterated their commitment to combating illegal drugs and ensuring the safety of the community. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full extent of the suspect’s involvement in illegal drug activities.
