June 28, 2025 — Mindanao — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued a regional weather forecast warning residents across Mindanao of continued rain and thunderstorms brought by the Southwest Monsoon, locally known as Habagat. The forecast is valid from 5:00 PM today until 5:00 AM tomorrow, June 28.

According to PAGASA, Northern Mindanao and Caraga regions will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms, which may lead to flash floods and landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains. The rest of Mindanao is expected to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Winds are generally light to moderate, blowing from the southwest to west, with seas expected to be slight to moderate (0.6 to 1.2 meters).

Zamboanga Peninsula

  • Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, Isabela City: Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Temperatures range between 24°C to 32°C.

Northern Mindanao

  • Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental: Cloudy with rainshowers and thunderstorms. Temperature range: 20°C to 32°C. Coastal seas slight to moderate.

Caraga Region

  • Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands: Cloudy with rainshowers and thunderstorms. Temperatures vary from 22°C to 33°C. Light to moderate winds and seas.

Davao Region

  • Metro Davao, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, Davao Occidental: Partly cloudy to at times cloudy with possible thunderstorms. Temperatures range from 23°C to 32°C.

SOCCSKSARGEN

  • North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani: Partly cloudy to cloudy with chances of localized rainshowers or thunderstorms. Temperatures range from 21°C to 31°C.

Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM)

  • Cotabato City, Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi: Fair weather conditions with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Temperatures range from 23°C to 32°C.

PAGASA reminds the public to stay alert for weather advisories, especially in areas prone to flooding and landslides. Mariners are advised to take precautions while at sea due to the slight to moderate sea conditions.
