Mindanao, Philippines — June 27, 2025 | Residents across Mindanao are advised to remain alert for possible flash floods and landslides as the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecasts scattered rains and thunderstorms throughout the region today, June 27, until tomorrow morning, June 28.

In its 5:00 AM bulletin, PAGASA’s Mindanao PRSD (MINPRSD) reported that the entire island will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms brought about by the Southwest Monsoon. Winds will be light to moderate from the southwest to west, with coastal waters ranging from slight to moderate (0.6 to 1.2 meters).

Forecast by Province:

Zamboanga Peninsula

  • Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, Isabela City: Expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of rainshowers or thunderstorms. Temperatures will range from 22°C to 33°C, with slight to moderate coastal seas.

Northern Mindanao

  • Bukidnon: Inland province will experience scattered thunderstorms, with temperatures from 20°C to 29°C.
  • Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental: Rain and thunderstorms are expected intermittently. Coastal conditions are slight to moderate, and temperatures will range between 24°C to 32°C.

Davao Region

  • Metro Davao, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao de Oro, Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental: All areas will experience partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with rainshowers and thunderstorms. Daytime highs can reach up to 34°C in some areas.

SOCCSKSARGEN

  • North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani: Localized thunderstorms are possible. Slight to moderate seas expected, with temperatures ranging from 22°C to 32°C.

Caraga Region

  • Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands: Consistent weather patterns of thunderstorms and cloudy skies are forecasted throughout the day and evening. Expect slightly cooler temperatures in the 24°C–34°C range.

Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM)

  • Cotabato City, Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur: Expect isolated thunderstorms with partly cloudy skies throughout the forecast period. Temperatures may climb to 34°C in lowland areas, particularly Maguindanao del Sur.

Safety Advisory

PAGASA warns that severe thunderstorms may trigger localized flash floods and landslides, especially in low-lying and mountainous areas. Residents and local disaster risk reduction and management offices are urged to take precautionary measures.
