A total of 220 individuals were arrested across Northern Mindanao during a weeklong series of police operations conducted by the Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) from May 23 to 29, 2025.

The operations, aimed at curbing various forms of criminality, included focused campaigns against illegal drugs, illegal gambling, wanted persons, loose firearms, smuggling, and illegal mining.

In its intensified anti-illegal drug campaign, PRO10 carried out 77 operations that led to the arrest of 96 individuals. Authorities confiscated over 1,008 grams of shabu and 32 grams of marijuana, with an estimated Standard Drug Price value of ₱6.86 million.

The regional police also conducted nine operations targeting illegal gambling activities, which resulted in the apprehension of 15 suspects and the seizure of ₱6,676 worth of gambling paraphernalia.

In its campaign to bring fugitives to justice, PRO10 nabbed 103 wanted persons—23 of whom were listed as Most Wanted, while the remaining 80 were categorized as Other Wanted Persons.

Meanwhile, 14 operations under the Kontra Boga campaign led to the arrest of six individuals and the recovery, surrender, or confiscation of 18 unlicensed firearms.

Efforts to crack down on smuggling saw 15 successful operations, yielding ₱311,330 worth of smuggled cigarettes. One operation against illegal mining activities resulted in the confiscation of ₱145,000 worth of mining equipment.

PBGEN Jaysen C. De Guzman, Regional Director of PRO10, commended the dedication and hard work of police units and personnel involved in the operations.

“These accomplishments reflect the unwavering commitment of PRO10 to intensify its operations against all forms of criminality. We call on the public to be our active partners in protecting our communities from the threats of drugs, illegal firearms, and other unlawful activities,” De Guzman said.
