CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City — In a sustained crackdown on criminality, the Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) apprehended a total of 163 individuals involved in various illegal activities during its intensified law enforcement operations from July 4 to 10, 2025, across Northern Mindanao.

The comprehensive campaign included targeted operations against illegal drugs, gambling, wanted persons, loose firearms, smuggling, and illegal mining.

In the anti-illegal drugs drive, 58 operations led to the arrest of 64 suspects, with authorities confiscating 371.685 grams of shabu and 10 grams of marijuana, with an estimated total value of ₱2,527,458.00 based on the Standard Drug Price.

Meanwhile, anti-illegal gambling efforts resulted in 17 operations that apprehended 26 individuals and seized gambling paraphernalia amounting to ₱6,416.00.

The campaign against wanted persons also yielded major results, with 65 individuals arrested — including three Most Wanted Persons and 62 others with outstanding warrants.

Under the campaign against loose firearms, dubbed Kontra Boga, PRO10 carried out six operations, arresting eight individuals and recovering 11 small firearms either through confiscation, surrender, or recovery.

Efforts to combat smuggling led to the confiscation of ₱181,500.00 worth of smuggled cigarettes during three operations, while a single anti-illegal mining operation resulted in the seizure of materials and equipment valued at ₱120,000.00.

PBGen Rolindo M. Suguilon, Regional Director of PRO10, praised the accomplishments of the police force and called on the public to remain vigilant.

“I would like to commend all operating units involved for these successful operations,” Suguilon said. “I call upon our fellow citizens to continue cooperating with authorities and to become active partners in achieving lasting peace and development in Northern Mindanao.”

The weeklong operations reflect PRO10’s continued commitment to uphold law and order, and to protect communities across the region from the threats of illegal activities.
