CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City – A total of 223 individuals were arrested during a weeklong law enforcement operation carried out by the Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) from July 25 to 31, 2025, in a sweeping crackdown on criminality across Northern Mindanao.
The intensified operations covered various fronts of criminal activity, from illegal drugs and gambling to wanted persons, smuggling, and illegal mining.
In its relentless campaign against illegal drugs, PRO10 conducted 86 operations that led to the arrest of 109 suspects and the seizure of approximately 1,468.523 grams of shabu, with an estimated street value of ₱9,985,961.40.
Meanwhile, 13 anti-illegal gambling operations resulted in the arrest of 30 individuals and the confiscation of ₱9,414 worth of illegal gambling paraphernalia.
Authorities also tracked down 72 wanted individuals, including 13 Most Wanted Persons and 58 Other Wanted Persons, through sustained manhunt operations across the region.
As part of its ongoing “Kontra Boga” campaign against loose firearms, PRO10 carried out 15 operations, arresting five suspects and recovering 15 small firearms through seizure, surrender, or recovery efforts.
In the fight against smuggling, the regional police seized ₱35,080 worth of smuggled cigarettes in two separate operations.
Notably, in a significant blow against illegal mining, two operations led to the arrest of seven suspects and the confiscation of illegally extracted minerals valued at ₱19,007,500.
PBGen Rolindo M. Suguilon, Regional Director of PRO10, lauded the operating units for their diligence and teamwork in carrying out the successful operations.
“I commend all the operating units involved in these successful operations. Let us continue our campaign with the same vigor and dedication, ensuring that criminal elements are relentlessly pursued and brought to justice. I urge the public to remain vigilant and cooperative by reporting any suspicious activities in their areas,” Suguilon said in a statement.
The PRO10 reiterated its commitment to upholding peace and public safety through sustained and intensified law enforcement actions across Northern Mindanao.
