CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) successfully apprehended 195 individuals in a weeklong law enforcement operation conducted from March 21 to 27, 2025.
As part of its intensified anti-illegal drug campaign, PRO10 carried out 71 operations that led to the arrest of 86 individuals. Authorities confiscated 517.84 grams of shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price of PhP3,521,943.20.
In the fight against illegal gambling, the police conducted 15 operations, resulting in the arrest of 36 individuals and the confiscation of illegal gambling items worth PhP32,304.00.
Meanwhile, 67 wanted persons were taken into custody, including eight individuals classified as Most Wanted and 59 others facing various charges.
Under its campaign against loose firearms, also known as ‘Kontra Boga,’ PRO10 conducted 23 operations that led to the arrest of five individuals and the confiscation, surrender, or recovery of 31 small arms and one light weapon. Additionally, around 329 house visitations under the Revitalized Katok (Bilang Boga) initiative resulted in the voluntary surrender of 30 firearms for safekeeping.
The police also carried out an operation against smuggling, which resulted in the seizure of smuggled cigarettes valued at PhP15,240,000.00.
In the crackdown on illegal mining activities, PRO10 conducted one operation that led to the arrest of an individual and the confiscation of illegal mining paraphernalia worth PhP200,000.00.
Regional Director PBGEN Jaysen C. De Guzman commended the efforts of the police force, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining peace and order in Northern Mindanao.
“PRO10 will continue to strengthen its law enforcement efforts to ensure the safety and security of Northern Mindanao. These operations demonstrate our commitment to eradicating criminal activities and bringing perpetrators to justice,” he stated.
He further assured the public that the intensified police operations against illegal drugs, illegal gambling, and other criminal activities would persist in the region.
