Davao de Oro – Authorities successfully apprehended the Top 1 Regional Priority High-Value Individual in Davao during a buy-bust operation conducted on April 22, 2025, in Purok 1, Barangay Ngan, Compostela. The operation also led to the seizure of suspected shabu valued at approximately Php204,000.
The operation was spearheaded by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) 11 in coordination with the Compostela Municipal Police Station, Regional Intelligence Division (RID), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), and the 1st Davao de Oro Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC).
Police Major Maynard D. Pascual, chief of RPDEU 11, identified the suspect by the alias “Muklo,” a 47-year-old businessman and resident of Purok 14, Barangay Poblacion, Davao de Oro. Reports revealed that about 30 grams of suspected shabu were confiscated from the suspect during the operation, with a street value exceeding Php204,000. Authorities also recovered other pieces of evidence linking the suspect to illegal drug activities.
The suspect was arrested immediately after allegedly selling illegal drugs to an undercover agent. He is now facing charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Authorities reminded the public that the campaign against illegal drugs remains relentless. They encouraged residents to cooperate by reporting suspicious activities that may help dismantle drug networks in the region.
