Davao de Oro – The Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office continues its relentless campaign against illegal drugs, leading to the successful arrest of two suspects in separate operations conducted in Compostela and Monkayo.
In Compostela, law enforcement authorities apprehended a barangay official following the implementation of a search warrant in Purok 3, Barangay Maparat. Personnel from the Compostela Municipal Police Station, the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), and the 1st Davao de Oro Provincial Mobile Force Company carried out the operation. The search warrant (No. 07-2025 CMP) was issued by Hon. Carmel Gil Grado, Executive Judge of RTC Branch 56, for violations of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The suspect, identified as “Billy,” a 43-year-old barangay kagawad, was taken into custody after authorities discovered suspected shabu. Law enforcement officials ensured that due process was followed throughout the operation.
Meanwhile, in Barangay Poblacion, Monkayo, another anti-drug operation resulted in the arrest of a 34-year-old suspect known as “Alias Awing.” This buy-bust operation was carried out by the Monkayo Municipal Police Station, the Provincial Intelligence Unit, the 1st Davao de Oro Provincial Mobile Force Company, and the PDEU, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
These operations underscore the Davao de Oro Police’s unwavering commitment to combating illegal drugs and maintaining peace and order in the province.
