CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Three members of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) voluntarily surrendered to authorities on February 26, 2025, at the 1003rd Maneuver Company headquarters in Barangay Halapitan, San Fernando, Bukidnon.

The individuals, identified by their aliases, include “Pogi,” a 41-year-old squad leader of the now-dismantled Pulang Bagani Command PB1; “Tweety,” a 35-year-old full-time medic of the disbanded GF 56 under SRC 5, SMRC; and “Baboy,” also 41 years old, a Militiang Bayan member affiliated with GF 55. All three are residents of San Fernando, Bukidnon.
Their surrender was made possible through the coordinated efforts of multiple security units, including the 1003rd Maneuver Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10 (RMFB 10), Special Action Force units, and intelligence divisions from the Philippine National Police and the military.
Alongside their surrender, the former rebels handed over two caliber .38 revolvers, one with three live rounds, further signaling their intent to reintegrate into society. They are currently in the custody of the 1003rd Maneuver Company for debriefing and individual profiling.
PBGEN Jaysen C. De Guzman, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10), lauded the successful surrender and emphasized the effectiveness of ongoing peace and security efforts. “This surrender is a testament to the effectiveness of our continued peace and security operations. It reflects our commitment to ensuring the safety of our communities and encouraging those who have gone astray to return to the folds of the law,” he said.
Authorities encourage other CTG members to take advantage of the government’s Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP), which provides financial aid, livelihood assistance, and other reintegration support for former rebels seeking a new start.
PRO10 reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining peace and stability in Northern Mindanao, urging more individuals to abandon armed struggle and rejoin mainstream society.
