Three remnants of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG), all listed in the Periodic Status Report (PSR), surrendered to authorities in two separate internal security operations in Bukidnon and Misamis Oriental on November 28, 2025, marking another significant gain in the government’s campaign to weaken insurgent influence in Northern Mindanao.
PBGEN Christopher N. Abrahano, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 10, commended the personnel of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 10 for the successful facilitation of the voluntary surrenders, describing the accomplishments as clear proof of the unit’s intensified efforts to restore peace in the region.
The first operation took place at around 6:15 p.m. at the headquarters of the 1003rd Maneuver Company in Sitio Colon, Barangay Halapitan, San Fernando, Bukidnon. Two CTG remnants—identified only as Jun, 32, and Lindy, 57, both residents of San Fernando—yielded themselves to authorities. Jun, a squad member of SQD 3, PLTN 2, GF Malayag and PSR-listed since 2018, surrendered a .38-caliber revolver with six rounds of ammunition. Lindy, a squad member of SQD 2 under the same platoon and PSR-listed since 2019, turned over a caliber 35.16 revolver with ten rounds.
The operation was led by the 1003rd Maneuver Company with support from S2 RMFB 10, the 1004th Maneuver Company, San Fernando Municipal Police Station, the Bukidnon Provincial Mobile Force Companies, the Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit, and RPSB San Fernando.
Earlier that afternoon, at around 4:10 p.m., another CTG member surrendered in Sitio Muya, Barangay Minalwang, Claveria, Misamis Oriental. The surrenderer, identified as Garry, 28, married and a resident of Barangay San Luis, Malitbog, Bukidnon, was a member of the dismantled Platoon Lenon of SRC 1. He turned over a .357-caliber revolver to authorities.
This second operation was spearheaded by the 1001st Maneuver Company, with assistance from the 1002nd Maneuver Company, RMFB 10, and support from PIU 10 and the Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Office.
PBGEN Abrahano said the voluntary surrenders underscore RMFB 10’s consistent efforts to encourage CTG remnants to return to the fold of the law. He emphasized that the operations align with the focused agenda of Acting Chief PNP, PLTGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., and PRO 10’s strengthened operational push to stabilize peace and order across Northern Mindanao.
Authorities said the series of surrenders signal continuing setbacks for the remaining CTG units in the region as security forces sustain pressure and expand community-based efforts to convince combatants to peacefully reintegrate into society.
