Cagayan de Oro City – March 21, 2025 – A coordinated anti-drug operation led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office-X (PDEA RO-X), in partnership with the PNP Regional Intelligence Unit 10 and Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO) Police Station 6, resulted in the successful seizure of 50 grams of suspected shabu valued at ₱340,000 in Barangay Balubal.
The operation, carried out through a search warrant, led to the arrest of two suspects: Alias Bert, 43, of Balubal, and Alias John2, 27, of Bugo. Both individuals are set to face charges for violations of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The PDEA RO-X Regional Special Enforcement Team, with support from the PDEA RO-X Misamis Oriental Provincial Office, played a crucial role in executing the operation. PDEA RO-X Regional Director Atty. Benjamin G. Gaspi commended the joint efforts of the enforcement units and reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to eradicating illegal drugs in Northern Mindanao.
