Misamis Oriental has been honored as an Outstanding Legislative Performance Provincial Awardee during the 33rd National Convention of the Provincial Board Members League of the Philippines (PBMLP) held at the Century Park Hotel in Manila.
The award was personally received by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Misamis Oriental, led by Vice Governor Jeremy Jonahmar “Jigjag” Pelaez, along with the provincial board members. This recognition highlights the unwavering support and commitment of the SP in delivering quality public service to the people.
The provincial government, under the leadership of Governor Peter Unabia, has continuously emphasized collaboration between the legislative and executive branches. This is evident in the approval of various projects, programs, and the annual budget that align with the province’s Single Digit Poverty Incidence (SDPI) program.
The SDPI program is part of the broader PAGLAUM Development Agenda, particularly under the “P” for Participatory Governance. This initiative aims to reduce poverty in Misamis Oriental through inclusive governance and sustainable development efforts.
The award serves as a testament to the province’s commitment to effective legislation and governance, ensuring that policies and programs directly benefit its constituents.
