Davao City – November 16, 2024
At around 11:55 PM on November 16, 2024, authorities intercepted suspected shabu valued at approximately ₱1,014,000 during an inspection at a joint checkpoint operated by Task Force Davao Falcon Sirawan Base and Toril Police Station 8 in Barangay Sirawan, Davao City.
A gray Nissan Navara pick-up truck with plate number LAK 2929 was stopped while heading toward the city center. Upon inspection, a CAFGU personnel noticed a sling bag carried by the passenger seated in the front seat, which contained a red plastic cellophane.
When asked to open the bag, the passenger resisted, creating a commotion. Instead of complying, the individual threw the sling bag onto the road and the driver sped off in the pick-up truck.
Authorities examined the discarded bag and discovered transparent plastic cellophane containing a substance believed to be shabu.
Task Force Davao immediately alerted all police units and TF-Davao personnel about the fleeing pick-up truck, but the vehicle has not been located as of this writing.
Authorities continue their efforts to track down the suspects and conduct further investigations into the incident.
