DAVAO CITY – Authorities apprehended a 22-year-old man caught carrying suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia at the Davao City Overland Transport Terminal (DCOTT) in Ecoland early morning of November 3, 2025.

At around 1:00 a.m., security personnel noticed the suspect acting suspiciously as he passed through the walk-through metal detector at the terminal’s entrance along Candelaria Street. A subsequent scan of his sling bag revealed images of items believed to be illegal drugs and drug-related paraphernalia.

Upon inspection, authorities discovered a plastic sachet containing suspected dried marijuana leaves, a rolled paper with the same substance, and a vape device suspected to contain liquid marijuana.

The suspect, identified only as “Ramonito,” 22, a resident of Purok San Miguel, R. Castillo Street, Agdao, Davao City, was immediately detained.

Police further recovered two improvised glass tooters with drug residue, a notebook, two lighters, a sling bag, and a pair of plastic eyeglasses.

The suspect is now under the custody of Police Station 15 (Ecoland) as authorities prepare to file appropriate charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
