Wao, Lanao del Sur – Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr. led the distribution of financial assistance to nearly 2,000 residents of Wao on October 9, 2024, as part of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). The senator’s visit also served as a platform to announce his plans to seek re-election in the upcoming 2025 senatorial race.
Revilla, a prominent figure of the Lakas CMD-SIAP alliance, will be running for another term in the Senate, promising to continue his advocacy for public service and the welfare of the Filipino people. He highlighted his long-standing commitment to uplifting marginalized sectors, which he plans to prioritize if re-elected.
Joining him in the distribution of aid were Lanao del Sur Governor Mamintal “Bombit” Alonto Adiong Jr. and Congressman Zia Alonto Adiong. The leaders, also part of the Lakas CMD-SIAP alliance, expressed their dedication to strengthening their partnership and ensuring the effective delivery of national government projects to the province’s residents.
The financial aid provided was a crucial part of helping families in crisis situations. Revilla’s collaboration with local officials demonstrates the alliance’s commitment to addressing the needs of Lanao del Sur communities, especially those in remote areas like Wao.
Revilla reaffirmed his support for the region and vowed to bring more government projects and programs that will benefit the people. As he gears up for his 2025 senatorial campaign, he aims to continue advocating for legislation that supports public welfare and national development.
