Valencia City, Bukidnon, October 15, 2024 – A 24-year-old man listed as a drug personality was arrested during a buy-bust operation conducted by the City Drug Enforcement Unit of Valencia City Police Station. The operation took place around 7:39 PM in Purok 2, Bagontaas, Valencia City.
The suspect, identified by authorities as “Luigie,” a laborer and resident of Barangay San Carlos, was apprehended during the operation. Police Lieutenant Colonel Mithchel C. Clemencio, Chief of Valencia City Police Station, confirmed the arrest.
Seized during the operation were four sachets of suspected shabu, weighing a total of 3.2 grams, with an estimated street value of Php21,760. A Php500 bill used as buy-bust money was also recovered from the scene.
The suspect is now facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
The successful anti-drug operation reflects the Valencia City Police’s commitment to intensifying efforts to combat illegal drugs and ensuring a safer and more peaceful community in line with the government’s vision for a “Bagong Pilipinas.”
