Davao City — Police authorities in Davao City scored a significant victory in the fight against illegal drugs following the arrest of two individuals and the confiscation of suspected shabu worth more than PHP 2.7 million during a raid on April 13, 2025.
The operation was carried out by the Ecoland Police Station Drug Enforcement Team under the Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11), led by Regional Director PBGEN Leon Victor Z. Rosete. Acting on a search warrant, law enforcers swooped down on a residence in Barangay 76-A, Davao City, which led to the arrest of two suspects identified only by their aliases “Indat” and “Jeb-Jeb.”
Seized from the suspects were several sachets and cellophanes containing suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PHP 2,724,100. Police operatives also recovered a .38 caliber revolver loaded with three live rounds of ammunition and a black leather sling bag during the search.
PBGEN Rosete commended the operating team for their commitment and precision in executing the operation, which he said reinforces the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) ongoing campaign against illegal drugs, spearheaded by PNP Chief PGEN Rommel Francisco D. Marbil.
“This accomplishment is a testament to our sustained efforts to rid our communities of illegal drugs. PRO 11 will continue its mandate to serve and protect the people by performing its tasks and functions diligently,” Rosete said.
The suspects are now facing charges for violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining intensified anti-drug operations to ensure the safety and well-being of Davao City residents.
