CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) scored a major victory in its anti-illegal drug campaign with the seizure of more than PHP4.3 million worth of suspected shabu and the arrest of six drug suspects in separate buy-bust operations in Bukidnon and Lanao del Norte from April 4 to 5, 2025.

The series of operations began on April 4 in Kalilangan, Bukidnon, where operatives from the Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10, apprehended a newly identified drug personality known as alias “Jecjec.” The suspect, a 30-year-old resident of Brgy. Ninoy Aquino, was caught in possession of approximately 15.55 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP105,740, along with a mobile phone, lighter, motorcycle, and marked buy-bust money.

Later that day, around 5:51 p.m., joint operatives from the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of Lanao del Norte, Tubod Municipal Police Station, and the Regional Intelligence Division 10 arrested another suspect, alias “Orak,” a 43-year-old farmer from Tubod. The operation yielded about 101.20 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP688,160. Also confiscated were drug paraphernalia, a sling bag, and a marked PHP1,000 bill.

On April 5, authorities launched a third buy-bust operation in Purok 3, Brgy. Kinura, Kalilangan, Bukidnon, targeting alias “Nor,” a 37-year-old female from Davao del Norte. She was arrested along with her live-in partner alias “Bordz,” 22, also from Davao del Norte; alias “Vanisa,” 39, from Tagum City; and alias “Rody,” 49, from Agusan del Norte. The group was found in possession of around 530 grams of suspected shabu, valued at PHP3,604,000. Authorities also seized mobile phones, a black Mitsubishi Xpander, and PHP5,000 in marked money.

In total, police recovered approximately 646.75 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of PHP4,397,900. The suspects are currently detained and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PRO10 Regional Director PBGen Jaysen C. De Guzman praised the operatives for their successful operations.

“I commend the operating units involved in these successful operations. Our campaign against illegal drugs remains relentless, and we will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the safety and well-being of our communities,” he said.

De Guzman also encouraged the public to play an active role in the fight against illegal drugs.

“Our collective effort is crucial in putting an end to the drug menace. I encourage everyone to support our campaign by being our partners in information sharing and crime prevention,” he added.
