CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City – In a series of successful anti-drug operations, the Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) arrested five individuals and confiscated a significant amount of illegal drugs on February 24, 2025, in Bukidnon and Iligan City.
At 12:39 PM, law enforcement personnel from the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) of Malaybalay City Police Station, in collaboration with the Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit, Regional Intelligence Unit 10, and the 1004th MC-RMFB, executed a search warrant against a suspect identified as alias “JJ.” The 31-year-old farmer, listed as the Top No. 3 Drug Personality on the PNP Target List (SLI Regional Level), was apprehended at Purok 3, Barangay Dalwangan, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
Authorities seized five heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, weighing 20 grams, with an estimated market value of PhP136,000. Also confiscated were a weighing scale and various drug paraphernalia.
In a separate buy-bust operation at Phase 6, Bahayan, Barangay Luinab, Iligan City, a joint team composed of Iligan City Police Station 4, PDEA Lanao del Norte, and ICPS 1 arrested four individuals. The primary target, identified as alias “Kitong,” a 38-year-old high-value target, was caught along with three others – alias “Bernard,” 38, alias “Tom,” 30, and alias “Rody,” 19 – who were reportedly engaged in a drug session.
During the operation, law enforcement officials recovered four heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu, weighing 25 grams and valued at PhP170,000. Also seized were two PhP100 bills used as buy-bust money, PhP510 in cash suspected to be proceeds from drug transactions, and various drug paraphernalia.
All arrested individuals are currently in the custody of Malaybalay City Police Station and Police Station 4, Iligan City Police Office, for proper legal procedures.
PBGEN Jaysen C. De Guzman, Regional Director of PRO10, commended the operatives for their dedication to combating illegal drugs.
“PRO10, along with other law enforcement agencies, remains committed to intensifying its campaign against illegal drugs through relentless operations, intelligence-driven strategies, and strong community partnerships. We urge the public to remain vigilant and report any illegal drug activities to local authorities,” De Guzman stated.
