CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – In a continued crackdown on illegal drugs, Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) arrested two suspects and confiscated over P322,000 worth of suspected shabu in separate buy-bust operations conducted on the night of June 14, 2025, in Bukidnon and Iligan City.

In Kalilangan, Bukidnon, joint operatives of the Kalilangan Municipal Police Station, Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit, and other regional police units apprehended a newly identified drug personality known by the alias “Rambo,” 39, jobless and previously arrested for robbery when he was 16.

The suspect was arrested at around 11:20 PM in Purok 1, Barangay Central Poblacion. Seized from him were four sachets of suspected shabu weighing 7.45 grams with a standard drug price (SDP) of P50,660. Authorities also recovered the P500 buy-bust money, a sling bag, a mobile phone, and P150 cash.

Recovered from Norri were seven sachets of suspected shabu weighing 40 grams, with an estimated street value of P272,000. Also seized were a coin purse and the P1,000 marked money used in the buy-bust operation.

The suspects are currently under police custody. Non-drug evidence has been secured at ICPO Police Station 5, while the seized drugs will undergo qualitative and quantitative analysis at the Iligan City Forensic Unit (ICFU-10).

Both suspects face charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PBGen Jaysen C. De Guzman, Regional Director of PRO10, commended the operating units for their swift and successful operations.

“This is another clear message to all those who continue to engage in the illegal drug trade that PRO10 remains relentless in our anti-illegal drugs campaign,” De Guzman said. “I commend the efforts of our operating teams and reiterate that PRO10 stands firm in its commitment to ensure a safer and drug-free region.”

PRO10 urges the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious drug-related activities in their communities to support the region’s fight against illegal drugs.
