CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — A total of ₱1,750,075 worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) was confiscated while 26 drug suspects were arrested in a string of anti-illegal drug operations carried out by the Police Regional Office 10 (PRO-10) from November 20 to 23, 2025 across Northern Mindanao.
The operations, conducted by various police units with support from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), targeted several high-value individuals and regional priority drug personalities.
High-Value Target in Iligan Arrested Again
One of the major operations took place on November 22 at 1:40 AM, when the RPDEU 10 Team Iligan implemented a search warrant against alias “Jayme,” a 50-year-old driver and resident of Brgy. Santiago, Iligan City. Jayme, identified as a high-value individual, was previously arrested for the same offense and allegedly sourced illegal drugs from Marawi City.
Recovered during the raid were:
- 60 grams of suspected shabu worth ₱408,000
- Various drug paraphernalia
Jayme is now detained at PS1-ICPO and faces charges under RA 9165.
Buy-Bust in Bukidnon Nets Two Suspects, ₱871K Worth of Shabu
At 3:28 AM of the same day, the Municipal Drug Enforcement Unit of Kalilangan MPS arrested two suspects — “Cogs,” 28, a businessman previously apprehended by PDEA, and “Kara,” 28, a farmer and first-time offender.
Seized during the operation were:
- 128 grams of shabu valued at ₱871,624
- A marked ₱1,000 bill
- Assorted drug paraphernalia
Both suspects are now under the custody of Kalilangan MPS.
Top 6 Regional Drug Personality Nabbed in Cagayan de Oro
In a separate coordinated operation on November 20 at 8:20 PM, joint elements of the CDEU, CMFC-COCPO, and PDEA-10 Misamis Oriental arrested alias “Jayjay,” a construction worker and listed Top 6 Regional Priority Drug Personality, during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City.
Authorities recovered:
- 5 grams of suspected shabu worth ₱34,000
- A cigarette pack used to conceal the drugs
- Buy-bust money
Jayjay is now in police custody as charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165 are being prepared.
More Arrests Across the Region
Additional anti-drug operations conducted by various police stations and units from November 22–23 resulted in the apprehension of more suspects, bringing the weekend total to 26 arrests and adding to the significant volume of illegal drugs seized across the region.
PRO-10 Vows Sustained Crackdown
PRO-10 Regional Director PBGEN CHRISTOPHER N. ABRAHANO praised the dedication and coordination of the operating units.
“These arrests and drug seizures demonstrate the relentless efforts of our personnel to ensure a safer and drug-free Northern Mindanao. Patuloy naming huhabulin ang mga high-valued drug personality, aalagaan ang kaligtasan ng komunidad, at sisiguraduhing mananagot sa batas ang mga lumalabag,” he said.
All confiscated items will undergo forensic examination, while all arrested suspects will face appropriate charges under RA 9165.
Authorities reaffirmed that intensified anti-drug operations will continue as part of the region’s ongoing campaign to dismantle illegal drug networks and protect communities from narcotics-related threats.
