Davao City, February 12, 2025 – A high-stakes anti-drug operation in Compostela, Davao de Oro led to the arrest of one of the region’s top 10 High-Value Individuals (HVI), known as alias “Dindo,” along with two other drug personalities. The operation, carried out by law enforcement authorities under the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 11 (RPDEU 11), proved successful in curbing illegal drug activities in the area.

Authorities executed a search warrant against alias “Dindo” at Purok 1, Barangay Poblacion, Compostela. The warrant, issued by Hon. Carmel Gil Grado, Executive Judge of RTC 56, was for violations of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

During the search, law enforcement personnel discovered and confiscated six heat-sealed transparent sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PHP 183,600. Additionally, authorities seized an improvised tooter, a digital weighing scale, LED light plastic bags, and a white plastic bag, all believed to be used in drug-related activities.

Further, the raid also led to the confiscation of several firearms, including one EMTAN ESRAEL caliber 5.56 rifle, a Colt .45 automatic pistol loaded with seven rounds of live ammunition, a LLAMA MINIMAX caliber .45 pistol with three rounds of live ammunition, a homemade .38 revolver, and thirty-four .30 caliber live ammunition rounds.

The successful operation was a collaborative effort between RPDEU 11, Compostela Municipal Police Station, and the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA). The arrest of alias “Dindo” and his associates underscores the unwavering commitment of law enforcement agencies to dismantle the illegal drug trade and combat the proliferation of loose firearms in the region.

The Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) reiterated its full support for the strategic framework set by the Chief of the Philippine National Police, PGEN Rommel Francisco D. Marbil. This initiative aligns with the PNP’s mantra, “Sa Bagong Pilipinas, Ang Gusto ng Pulis; Ligtas Ka!”—a vision aimed at ensuring the safety and security of communities across the nation.

The arrested individuals will face appropriate legal charges as authorities continue their investigation into the case. Meanwhile, PRO 11 remains steadfast in its mission to uphold law and order, ensuring a drug-free and safer community for all.
