Mindanao — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has forecast generally partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms across most parts of Mindanao from 5:00 a.m. on February 9 until 5:00 a.m. on February 10, 2026.

According to the Regional Weather Forecast issued by PAGASA–Mindanao (MINPRSD), the prevailing weather condition is being influenced by localized thunderstorms, which may trigger sudden heavy downpours in the afternoon and evening. Authorities warned that severe thunderstorms could lead to flash floods and landslides, particularly in low-lying and mountainous areas.
General Weather Outlook
PAGASA reported that Mindanao will experience light to moderate winds coming from the northwest to southwest, with coastal waters ranging from slight to moderate, measuring around 0.6 to 1.8 meters. These conditions may affect small fishing vessels and sea travel, especially in open waters.
Residents are advised to remain cautious during periods of heavy rain and lightning, and to stay updated through official weather bulletins.
Zamboanga Peninsula
In Zamboanga City, Isabela City, and the provinces of Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, and Zamboanga Sibugay, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected.
Temperatures in the region will range from 22°C to 32°C. Winds will be light to moderate, while coastal waters will be slight to moderate to moderate, posing moderate risks for maritime activities.
Northern Mindanao
Provinces in Northern Mindanao, including Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental, will also experience similar weather patterns.
Bukidnon may record cooler temperatures ranging from 19°C to 28°C, while coastal areas such as Camiguin and Misamis provinces will see temperatures between 23°C and 30°C. Winds will remain light to moderate, with moderate sea conditions in coastal areas.
Davao Region
Metro Davao, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Davao Occidental are forecast to have intermittent cloudiness with possible rainshowers and thunderstorms.
Temperatures in the region are expected to range from 22°C to 31°C. Coastal waters will be slight to moderate to moderate, while winds will remain generally moderate from the northwest to southwest.
SOCCSKSARGEN and Caraga
In SOCCSKSARGEN, covering North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, and Sarangani, residents can expect partly cloudy skies with occasional thunderstorms. Temperatures will range from 24°C to 31°C, with light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal conditions.
Meanwhile, the Caraga Region, including Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Dinagat Islands, will experience cloudy intervals with scattered rains and thunderstorms. Temperatures may reach up to 33°C, particularly in Agusan del Sur, while coastal waters will remain moderate.
BARMM Areas
In the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), including Cotabato City, Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi, similar weather conditions are expected.
Temperatures will range from 20°C to 32°C, with moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters. Basilan may experience the lowest temperatures, reaching as low as 20°C.
Public Advisory
PAGASA urged local government units, disaster risk reduction offices, farmers, fisherfolk, and commuters to take precautionary measures against possible weather-related hazards.
Residents in flood- and landslide-prone areas are advised to remain alert and prepare emergency supplies. Fisherfolk and small boat operators are likewise encouraged to check weather conditions before heading out to sea.
