Mindanao is expected to experience generally partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms from Tuesday morning until early Wednesday, according to the latest regional weather forecast issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In its advisory released at 5:00 a.m. on February 10, 2026, PAGASA said the prevailing weather condition across Mindanao is being influenced by localized thunderstorms, which may trigger sudden heavy downpours in some areas. Residents are warned of possible flash floods and landslides, especially in low-lying and mountainous communities, during periods of intense rainfall.
Strong Winds, Rough Seas in Eastern Mindanao
PAGASA reported that moderate to strong winds coming from the northeast will affect the eastern sections of Mindanao, including parts of Davao Oriental and the Caraga Region. These areas may experience moderate to rough sea conditions, with wave heights ranging from 1.2 to 3.4 meters.
Fisherfolk and small sea vessel operators in these coastal areas are advised to take precautionary measures and avoid venturing out to sea when conditions become hazardous.

Public Advised to Stay Alert
PAGASA reminded the public to remain vigilant, particularly in areas prone to flooding and landslides. Motorists are advised to exercise caution during heavy rains, while residents in coastal and mountainous areas are urged to monitor weather updates and heed advisories from local authorities.
The weather bureau also encouraged the public to stay informed through official PAGASA channels and local disaster risk reduction offices, especially as localized thunderstorms may develop rapidly and bring sudden adverse weather conditions.
