Mindanao is expected to experience another day of unsettled weather as the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) continues to dominate the region, bringing cloudy skies, scattered rains, and thunderstorms across all provinces from Sunday morning until early Monday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
In its 5:00 AM regional forecast, PAGASA warned that moderate to at times heavy rains may trigger possible flash floods and landslides, particularly in flood-prone and mountainous areas. Winds will be light to moderate from the east to northeast, with coastal waters across Mindanao ranging from slight to moderate at 0.6 to 2.1 meters.
ZAMBOANGA PENINSULA: Persistent Rain Showers Throughout the Day
Across Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, and Isabela City, residents should expect continuous cloudy skies with rain showers and thunderstorms from morning until early Monday.

NORTHERN MINDANAO: Widespread Thunderstorms Expected
Provinces under Northern Mindanao—including Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental—will likewise experience cloudy skies with intermittent thunderstorms.
- Bukidnon: Cooler temperatures of 19°C to 29°C during the day; 20°C to 27°C at night
- Coastal areas (Camiguin, Misamis provinces, Lanao del Norte): Slight to moderate seas
- General conditions: Light to moderate winds from the east to northeast
DAVAO REGION: Unstable Weather Continues
Cloudy skies with rain showers are forecast over Metro Davao, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Davao Occidental throughout the forecast period.

- Nighttime: 25°C to 32°C

SOCCSKSARGEN: Potential for Localized Heavy Downpours
PAGASA notes that North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, and Sarangani will also see cloudy skies with rain showers and thunderstorms due to the prevailing ITCZ.

- Daytime: 23°C to 33°C
- Nighttime: 24°C to 31°C
- Precaution: Residents in foothills and low-lying areas are urged to remain alert for sudden heavy rainfall.
CARAGA REGION: Cooler Temperatures, Steady Rain Showers
The provinces of Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and the Dinagat Islands will experience cloudy skies and scattered thunderstorms through the evening.

BARMM: Rainy Conditions Expected Across All Provinces
The Bangsamoro region—comprising Cotabato City, Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Maguindanao del Norte, and Maguindanao del Sur—will continue to experience widespread rainfall and thunderstorms.

PAGASA Advises Continued Vigilance
The agency urges local government units and residents to remain watchful for flash floods and landslides, especially in vulnerable areas where soil saturation may already be high from previous days of rainfall.
Fisherfolk are also advised to monitor sea conditions and heed updates due to fluctuating coastal winds and moderate wave heights.
