November 15, 2025 — Mindanao
Large parts of Mindanao are forecast to experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms throughout the day as the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) continues to affect the region, according to the latest 5:00 AM regional weather bulletin issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

The weather condition is expected to bring moderate to occasionally heavy rainfall, which may trigger flash floods and landslides, especially in low-lying and mountainous areas. Winds across the island will remain light to moderate coming from the east to northeast, while seas will be slight to moderate, with wave heights ranging from 0.6 to 2.1 meters.

Widespread Rains Across All Mindanao Regions

From the Zamboanga Peninsula to SOCCSKSARGEN, Northern Mindanao, Davao Region, Caraga, and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), all provinces will experience the same pattern of cloudy skies accompanied by rainshowers and thunderstorms both during daytime (5:00 AM to 5:00 PM) and nighttime (5:00 PM to 5:00 AM tomorrow).

Zamboanga Peninsula

Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, and Isabela City will have persistent rainshowers and isolated thunderstorms. Temperatures are expected to range between 22°C to 32°C, with coastal waters remaining slight to moderate.

Caraga Region

Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Dinagat Islands will face overcast skies and repeated thunderstorms, with temperatures spanning 23°C to 30°C. Sea conditions will remain fairly calm but boat operators are advised to monitor updates due to possible sudden thunderstorms.

BARMM

Cotabato City, Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and the provinces of Maguindanao del Norte and Maguindanao del Sur are all forecast to have rainy weather throughout the period. Temperatures will hover between 21°C and 31°C, depending on location.

Public Advisory

PAGASA reminds the public to remain alert for possible flash floods and landslides, particularly in areas with a history of flooding and soil erosion. Motorists are urged to drive cautiously due to low visibility during heavy rain and thunderstorms.

Those living near riverbanks, coastal communities, and mountainous terrain are advised to take necessary precautions and coordinate with local disaster risk reduction offices.
