CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — The spotlight turned bright and the cheers rang louder than ever on Thursday afternoon, June 12, as the 60th Miss Cagayan de Oro (Miss CDO) pageant officially kicked off with the grand public presentation of its twelve dazzling candidates at the Centrio Ayala Mall Event Center.

This year’s edition is not just another search for beauty and brains — it is a celebration of legacies, aspirations, and pride. Coinciding with the city’s 75th Charter Day or Diamond Jubilee, Miss CDO 2025 glitters with deeper meaning as it celebrates six decades of empowering women and showcasing local elegance and talent.
Each of the twelve candidates represents one of Cagayan de Oro’s vibrant barangays. Dressed in coordinated outfits and radiating confidence, they faced members of the local media and the crowd with grace and enthusiasm. The media, in turn, engaged them in a brief Q&A, offering a glimpse of their personalities and advocacies. Members of the press will later cast their votes to determine who will earn the title of “Darling of the Press” — to be awarded during the coronation night on August 23.

This year’s pageant is spearheaded by a dynamic team led by incoming City Councilor Gigi Go, who emphasized the significance of the diamond year. “This is more than just a pageant,” she noted. “It is a celebration of how far Cagayan de Oro has come — through the lens of empowered young women who will help shape its future.”
As the city counts down to August, more pre-pageant activities are set to unfold, including talent showcases, advocacy presentations, and community immersions — all building up to the grand coronation night on August 23.
In a city that celebrates beauty with purpose and heritage with pride, the 60th Miss CDO pageant promises to be a glittering milestone — a tribute to six decades of elegance, empowerment, and Kagay-anon excellence.
