MANOLO FORTICH, Bukidnon – Authorities are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying an unidentified man whose lifeless body was discovered along a riverbank in Sitio Palaopao, Barangay Maluko, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.

According to the Manolo Fortich Municipal Police Station (MFMPS), the victim is believed to be a male between 25 and 30 years old. At the time of this report, his identity remains unknown, prompting police to seek the cooperation of the public to help locate his family.

The body was found during a response operation conducted by personnel of the Manolo Fortich Municipal Police Station, with assistance from responders from the PNP Sumilao, Sumilao Fire Station, and the Sumilao Rescue Team.

Following the recovery operation, the victim’s remains were transported to Everlasting Funeral Home in Barangay Kisolon, Sumilao, Bukidnon, where they are being kept pending proper identification and further examination.

Authorities have urged anyone who may have a missing family member, relative, or acquaintance matching the victim’s estimated age and description to coordinate with the Manolo Fortich Municipal Police Station or visit Everlasting Funeral Home to determine whether the recovered individual is their missing loved one.

Police have not yet released information regarding the possible cause of death, and investigators are continuing to gather evidence to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The Manolo Fortich PNP emphasized that public cooperation is vital in identifying the deceased, notifying his next of kin, and ensuring that he is given a proper and dignified burial.

Authorities continue to investigate the case and encourage anyone with information that may help identify the victim to immediately contact the nearest police station or the Manolo Fortich Municipal Police Station.
