Authorities dismantled a suspected drug den and arrested four individuals during a coordinated anti-illegal drug operation late evening on February 27, 2026, along a provincial road in Purok Waya-Waya, Barangay San Emmanuel in Tacurong City.

The operation, carried out at around 9:37 p.m., was led by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Special Enforcement Team 12, with support from the Tacurong City Police Station, Task Force Talakudong, and SK PDEA personnel. Authorities said the joint action resulted in the successful dismantling of a drug den believed to be operating in the area.
During the buy-bust operation, law enforcement agents apprehended four suspects allegedly involved in illegal drug activities. Investigators recovered several pieces of evidence at the scene, including one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu weighing approximately 0.18 gram, which was identified as the buy-bust item.
Additional confiscated items included four more heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 5.82 grams, assorted drug paraphernalia believed to have been used in drug sessions, three cellular phones, and a marked P1,000 bill used in the operation.
Authorities said the dismantling of the alleged drug den marks a significant step in the continuing crackdown on illegal drug operations in the region. Officials emphasized that the operation reflects the strengthened coordination between national anti-drug units and local law enforcement agencies in pursuing individuals and groups involved in narcotics distribution and use.
Law enforcement agencies reiterated their commitment to intensifying anti-drug campaigns and sustaining operations aimed at dismantling drug networks. They also assured residents that similar coordinated actions will continue to ensure safer communities not only in Tacurong City but also in nearby areas across Region 12.
The arrested suspects are expected to face charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 as authorities proceed with further investigation and documentation of the seized evidence.
