Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat – A joint anti-drug operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) led to the arrest of three high-value drug personalities in a buy-bust operation early this morning.
The operation took place at 12:45 AM along Alunan Highway, Purok 5, Barangay Poblacion, Tacurong City. The suspects were identified as:
- Alias Mail, 31, male, a farmer and a known drug supplier operating in Esperanza, Isulan, President Quirino, and Tacurong City in Sultan Kudarat.
- Alias Arabia, 24, female, an Alternative Learning System (ALS) Junior High School student.
- Alias Naim, 34, male, a driver.
All three suspects are residents of Barangay Dalican, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.
Authorities seized two sachets of suspected shabu with a combined weight of approximately 100 grams. The confiscated drugs have an estimated market value of PHP 680,000.
The operation was a coordinated effort by the PDEA Sultan Kudarat Provincial Office, the Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Office’s Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, and the Tacurong City Police Station.
The suspects will face charges for violation of Section 5, Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
