A joint anti-drug operation by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 12 (PDEA RO12) and the Tacurong City Police Station resulted in the arrest of a suspected drug pusher and the confiscation of approximately 50 grams of suspected shabu in Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat, on August 15, 2026.

The buy-bust operation was carried out at around 9:05 a.m. in Sitio Dos, Don Enrique, Barangay EJC Montilla, Tacurong City, as part of continuing intelligence-driven efforts by law enforcement authorities to disrupt the illegal drug trade in the region.

Arrested during the operation was alias “Bulhog,” described by authorities as a motorcycle driver and a resident of Barangay Fatima, General Santos City. PDEA RO12 said the suspect was identified as a notorious drug pusher, although the specific basis for the characterization was not detailed in the initial report.

Authorities recovered from the suspect one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing approximately 50 grams of suspected shabu. The confiscated substance was placed at an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of ₱340,000. The buy-bust money and other non-drug evidence were also recovered during the operation.

The arrest underscores the continued law enforcement focus on individuals allegedly involved in the distribution of illegal drugs across communities in Region 12. The operation also highlights the role of coordination between PDEA and local police units in pursuing suspected drug personalities through intelligence-based enforcement activities.

Authorities said the suspect is set to face a charge for violation of Section 5, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, which penalizes the illegal sale of dangerous drugs.

PDEA RO12 said it will continue conducting intelligence-driven operations and strengthening coordination with partner law enforcement agencies to pursue individuals allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade and prevent dangerous drugs from reaching communities across the region.

The confiscated substance remains suspected shabu pending the appropriate laboratory examination and confirmation by authorities. The filing of charges will likewise be subject to the applicable legal process.
