VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon — Authorities confiscated a total of ₱103,720 worth of suspected shabu in three separate anti-drug operations conducted by police and anti-narcotics units in different barangays of Valencia City from February 16 to February 20, 2026.

The coordinated operations led to the arrest of four suspects and the ongoing pursuit of another individual who remains at large, according to reports from law enforcement authorities.

The first operation took place at around 9:04 p.m. on February 16 in Purok 4, Barangay Tugaya. Arrested were two suspects identified only by their aliases “Sison,” 24, and “Mark,” 21, both jobless and residents of the area. Authorities seized suspected illegal drugs with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of ₱35,040, along with marked buy-bust money and other pieces of evidence.

The buy-bust operation was carried out by the Valencia City Police Station in coordination with several units, including the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 10 (RPDEU 10), 1003rd Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10, 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Bukidnon Police Provincial Office, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Bukidnon, and the City Anti-Drugs Special Unit Team (CADSUT), with coordination from the Provincial Intelligence Unit. The operation was conducted under PDEA Pre-Operation Number 11-00-02162026-028.

Two days later, at about 5:40 p.m. on February 19, another buy-bust operation was conducted in Purok 6B, Barangay Colonia, resulting in the arrest of alias “Parhan,” 28, a cellphone technician living with a partner in the same barangay. Authorities recovered suspected illegal drugs with a total SDP of ₱45,560. The suspect and seized evidence were brought to the Valencia City Police Station, while the confiscated substances were scheduled for laboratory examination at the PNP Provincial Forensic Unit in Malaybalay City. Charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) are being prepared for filing in court.

The third operation occurred at about 4:53 p.m. on February 20 in Purok 4, Barangay Poblacion, where authorities arrested alias “Yanyan,” 21, a banana sprayman and resident of Purok 10 Sutelco in the same barangay. Police also identified another suspect, alias “Pawpaw,” who managed to escape and is now the subject of a continuing manhunt. Seized during the operation was suspected shabu valued at ₱23,120, conducted under PDEA Pre-Operations Number 11-00-02202026-022.

Across the three operations, authorities highlighted the strong collaboration among local police units, anti-drug agencies, and intelligence groups aimed at intensifying the campaign against illegal drugs in the city.

Local officials led by Amie Galario and the Sangguniang Panlungsod under Greizl Galario-Fernandez reiterated their continued support for law enforcement operations targeting illegal drug activities, emphasizing community cooperation to maintain peace and security in Valencia City.

Authorities said all arrested suspects are now under police custody while documentation and legal proceedings are being finalized, as anti-drug operations continue across the city.
